Trip Ticket System

Gulf States

Trip Ticket was initially developed in the year 2000 for the state of Louisiana to allow seafood dealers to electronically report commercial seafood landings. Since then, versions have been created for Alabama, Florida, Mississippi, and Texas, in that order. A new release for year 2012 will include the functionality to collect and send HMS data electronically and to optionally send Trace Documents to Trace Register for traceability purposes. Approximately 700 dealers are currently using the Gulf States Trip Ticket program.

North Carolina

A North Carolina version was released in April 2004 and submits commercial landing data to both the state and federal agencies. A new release for year 2012 will include the functionality to collect and send HMS data electronically.

Federally Licensed Seafood Dealers in the Northeast Region

In May 2004 a federal ruling was issued requiring federally licensed seafood dealers in the Northeast Region to submit their commercial landing data electronically to the NE NMFS. The Federally Licensed Seafood Dealers Trip Ticket System was developed for dealers affected by this rule. A new release for year 2012 will include the functionality to collect and send HMS data electronically. The Trip Ticket program may be used as an alternative to SAFIS.

Maine

The NE Federal version of the program was revised to allow Maine seafood dealers to submit their data electronically to the state of Maine only or to both the state of Maine and the NE Federal agency. A new release for year 2012 will include the functionality to collect and send HMS data electronically.

PC 1 - Ticket

PC 1-Ticket was developed in coordination with ACCSP. It is an electronic reporting option for federal dealers in South Carolina and Georgia. A new release for year 2012 will include the functionality to collect and send HMS data electronically.
